3 Years of Dog Training: How My Experience Gets You the "Easy Life" Faster by Anna Hope
13 years in the business. 🤯 Where exactly has the time gone?!
I was planning to write a very polished, professional post celebrating over a decade in the dog training industry... but my son Tommy had other plans for my 'vintage' business banners.
They have officially been repurposed as a giant garden playmat! 🤦♀️😂
Seeing that original "Let's Go For Walkies" sign unrolled next to the Anna Hope Dog Coach banners hit me right in the feels. That little canvas pile represents a lot of thermal socks worn in freezing Rugby fields, but more importantly, it represents 13 solid years of constantly learning, testing, and improving.
But why does my nostalgia trip actually matter to you and your dog?
Because when you are standing in the park, completely embarrassed because your dog has just lunged at another innocent picnicker, you don't need guesswork. You need someone who has quite literally seen it all.
The Science Behind the "Easy Life"
Over the last decade, I haven’t just been teaching dogs to sit in a muddy field.
I’ve worked with thousands of dogs across the country, covering practically every breed, temperament, and chaotic habit you can imagine.
But experience alone isn't enough; you need the right tools. That is why I took my Forensic Psychology degree and applied that deep behavioural analysis to understand exactly how dogs learn and process the world.
It means we aren't just bribing your dog; we are shifting how they think.
Add to that passing the rigorous assessments to become a fully qualified IMDT member, working with incredible assistance dogs, and designing a unique dog-assisted learning programme for vulnerable children in a local school... and you get a very specific toolkit.
What's in it for you?
All of those qualifications, exams, and thousands of hours in the field mean one thing for you: a shortcut to the "Easy Life".
You want that calm, sociable dog that can happily snooze under a table at the local Rugby pub while you have a roast dinner.
You want to open your front door to visitors without your dog body-slamming them into the hallway.
When you ask for help, you aren't just getting a trainer.
You are getting 13 years of academic knowledge backed by a lot of hands-on, real-world grit.
I have done the studying, the problem-solving, and the freezing outdoor classes so that I can hand you the exact, streamlined steps to fix the problems in front of you.
Here is to the next 13 years! (Though I'm hoping by the time Tommy is 16, he will have stopped using my professional history as a slip-and-slide...)
