Dog Training in Rugby & Warwickshire: Creating Your Ideal Companion
You didn’t get a dog to stay at home and worry; you got a dog to be your best friend and weekend companion. I help you move past the daily struggles—like being pulled down the street or embarrassed by jumping—and into a life of freedom with your dog.
(Please note: My expertise lies in puppy foundations, basic life skills, and recall. I do not take on severe behavioural cases.)
I specialise in the real-world skills you need for a sociable dog:
-
Loose Lead Walking: No more pulling; just relaxing walks together.
-
Reliable Recall: The confidence to let them off-lead and know they'll return.
-
Four Paws on the Floor: Teaching calm greetings instead of jumping up.
-
Cafe & Pub Manners: A dog that settles quietly while you enjoy a coffee.
-
Real-World Focus: A dog that chooses you over squirrels or other dogs.
-
Puppy Foundations: Getting the "Right Start" before habits form.

Step 2: The Monthly Dog Training Support Programmes
To truly change behaviour, the magic happens in consistent practice, not just random hours in a field. After your 'Right Start' session, you can join a monthly support programme to keep the momentum going. Think of me as your pocket dog trainer! (Programmes require a minimum 2-month commitment).
Every programme includes:
-
Bespoke Post-Session Action Plans: Sent after every face-to-face session to keep you on track.

Monday–Friday Video Analysis: If your dog starts pulling on a Wednesday, don't wait for our next session. Send me a 30-second video of your walk, I'll analyse it, and tell you exactly what to try.
-
The Monthly Client-Only Video Masterclass: Exclusive access to an unlisted Q&A video where I answer your specific dog training questions.

About me: Your Coach, Anna
Hi! I’m Anna, and I’ve been living and breathing dog training for 13 years now. I’ve spent the last 9 years running my own 5-star training business right here in Rugby, and honestly? I’ve lost count of how many thousands of local dogs I’ve helped move from 'absolute chaos' to 'total dream.'
I am a proud full member of the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) and a massive dog training nerd! I am constantly updating my education to bring you the very best methods. I have completed countless courses covering everything from puppy foundations and reliable recall to loose lead walking and aggression. Most recently, I've been diving deep into how a dog's biome and diet relate to their exercise and overall behaviour.
Alongside this practical study, I hold a degree in Forensic Psychology, which gives me a unique advantage in curriculum design and behaviour analysis. Basically, I do the heavy lifting with the studying so you don't have to!
Whether it’s puppy basics, the 'Kevin the Teenager' adolescent phase, or emergency life skills, I’ve built a career out of making dog training feel fun, natural, and—most importantly—doable for real families.
When I’m not in a field or a living room with a dog, I’m busy running Anna’s Dog Trainer Tools, where I create professional resources and mentor other dog trainers across the industry.
I’m not here to give you a boring lecture or a list of impossible chores. I’m here to give you those 'quick wins' and expert secrets that make owning a dog actually enjoyable again. You want that sociable, happy dog you can take anywhere—and I’m the person to help you get there!
